Wincal Slow Release Limestone

WinCal ia a residual product of the drinking water softening process at drink water facilities. It is a slow release lime fertilizer containing high levels of calcium carbonate, which helps neutralize soil acidity and increases pH levels. Soil pH is particularly important for the availability of essential nutritions such as nitrogen and phosphorus. Consisting liming is therefore crucial for maintaining healthy crops. Excess magnesium can negatively affect soil structure. Thanks to its low magnesium oxide content, WinCal is ideally suited for soils with high magnesium levels.

Chitin is the major component which activates antagonistic activity therefore can suppress and interfere the normal growth and activity of plant pathogens. The presence of chitin contributes to a more resillient soil environment ans supports the natural balance between micro-organisms. Chitrin is an excellentnutrient source for micro-organisms such as B. subtilis, protozoa, mycorrhiza and actinomycetes.
